FROM MY FILE OF FAMOUS MEMOS

As I was cleaning out some old files, I came across this memo that I had received in 2001. I was on a consulting assignment in downtown Chicago, where I was an interim manager of a hospital IT staff.

I found this letter on my desk when I arrived for work on a Monday morning in May. It was from one of my all-star staff members. I copied it below verbatim and obviously, I will not include the person's name.

Strangely though, the work I did in Chicago was one of my favorite consulting assignments.

Hello

This is to inform you of the reactions Nick have most of the time when I give him assign work. He complaint all the times even attempd to show me a resignation because he don't like his co-workers and etc. Not to sound like a complainter, But Nick can be very nasty at time when he is giving work so I just pass it to him and walk off.
